Project Plan

At the school, kids have science classes and a wonderful science teacher, but no science lab. The school needs a way get their students to be more enthusiastic about learning science, and the principal asserts that interactive classrooms, like a lab, is the solution to this problem. Right now the school has a very rundown box classroom for its science program, and completely inadequate (lacking plumbing) bathroom and wash station. The lack of proper hygiene opportunity greatly effects their self-esteem and ability to maintain strong enough health to just get to school. With the steps outlined below, SHCAB will be able to give these kids a wonderful learning laboratory and equipped washroom to promote proper hygiene and learning, as a comprehensive wellness initiative. SHCAB volunteers will travel to Rio Shutia to not only make these needed infrastructural developments, but also to engage in cultural exchange and self-esteem-building activities with these wonderful children.
